Capitol Flag
The Capitol Flag Program began in 1937, when a member of Congress asked that a flag be flown over the Capitol. The program now includes flags that are flown on national holidays and special events. Flags that are used to honor the work done by schools and civic organizations are also included in the Capitol flag program.
